America has opposed democracy far more than it has supported it in the Arab world.

How. I can't see that we've done either. And there doesn't seem to be any Arab movement in the direction of democracy.

I know the US had a hand in helping the Shah gain power but I'm referring to Arab countries of which Iran is not one.
