Andy: I agree with your sound analysis. All Corporate Crooks (regardless of party affiliation) and all Political Hacks (regardless of party affiliation) who defend such unethical business practices should be punished severely. We should put the Corporate Crooks behind bars and vote the Political Hacks out of office. Re: your statement "Let's just see how it plays out when it turns out that umpteen other large corporations were also cooking their books in a big way... all with the tacit approval of both political parties... " I agree. More firms will bite the dust in the coming months. In turn, that means that there ain't gonna be any economic recovery in '02.
