You lost me. What 1ma are you measuring excursions from, the average of OHLC? Something else?

My "system", if I can dignify it by that name, is laughably simple. Aside from from some auxiliary rules regarding time of day, some specifics about the landscape of the day, and a scoring technique, the system buys when, in one minute bars:

price is above the 15 bar sma
the 15 bar sma is up
the 15 bar sma is above the 75 bar sma
the 75 bar sma is up.

This defines an upward bowtie with price above it. The sell rules are the exact opposite.

It could also be described as a 5ma/15ma sytem in 5 minute bars with the entry in one minute bars. It is very conservative, and I apply it only to days with a range greater than 60 cents. The objective is to get 15 cents. It tends to take the center out of a trend, and is very reliable, but on days like yesterday and today, it doesn't trade. So I am trying to devise something that will take 10 cents out like you do, and will trade more frequently, at the expense of less reliability.
