Here on Valentine's Day in '02,
Our Rambi writes a fine limerick
For her dear DAR friend E who is sick.
We pray E hasn't a brown dog tick,
But red roses and Godiva too.

Note: The term "brown dog tick" is
courtesy of Ish of Illinois.

*cough cough*

Would that it were vacation. Or recuperation. Either would be nice.

*cough*

(nice limerick!)

Wow. I haven't opened SI in months. Kinda nice to see taht it's still here.
I am enjoying the heck out of the Olympics. Probably my favorite event is curling. That looks like serious FUN.

Helen is four and Thomas the Tank is two. He is BIG and somewhat physically exuberant, i.e. he breaks things. He likes to bite - hard - as a token of affection. Quite unlike his sister. Where did he learn that? He is 100% boy. Everything he says gets an indefinite article ... "a mommy! A daddy!"

"A big." Can be anything. "A mine!" Possessive, not explosive. "A dooie!" Diaper biscuit.

Helen saw an ellipsis in a book I was reading and pointed it out exclaiming "Daddy! That looks like Orion's sword!" Taht's my girl. I have someone to whom I can teach the constellations.
