Qualcomm said Thursday that it had named two new top officers, just as the company's finances face heavy scrutiny because of its relationship with a director at fallen energy trader Enron. Qualcomm said it had named William E. Keitel senior vice president and chief financial officer and appointed Anthony S. Thornley as president and chief operating officer. The wireless technology company did not say who they were replacing and the reasons for the reshuffle. Company executives were not immediately available for comment. This week, Qualcomm came under fire after the company decided to re-elect Enron Director Frank Savage to its board. Enron recently filed for bankruptcy in what became one of the biggest accounting scandals in recent history.
