This is completely unrelated, but it's funny you should refer to Java as a ".NET language."

Sorry, I was kind of abbreviating from an earlier post. To expand on what I meant, the software development is moving (on parallel tracks) to .NET/CLR and Java/VM. Despite the fact that these environment are very different, they share the same philosophy. The way they eventually run on the hardware is also similar.
