Constantine, it has as much to do with AMD as racecars with square wheels have to do with Intel. All the silly analogies comparing the Pentium 4 to snails pace dragsters or battery operated jet engines is purely nonsense. The end result, even with slightly more megahertz and slightly less IPC, is a damn fast processor, even by today's standards. Trying to claim otherwise gives the distinct impression of sour grapes.
