My belief is that 3G will probably be leapfrogged. This is more of a timing issue than anything else. The SPs need to get their return on investment on the recently installed infrastructure before moving to the next great thing. I think that this will put enough of a development window in place that QCOM's CDMA will be obsolete before their is a desire (by the SPs) to open their checkbooks again.

I brought up China because of what Uncle Frank said about China being one of the things that was key to QCOM's success (or at least the perception of being key). In which case, it was appropriate for me to talk about "China alone" in that context.

I did short QCOM a week or two ago. I know 10pts is chump change to most QCOMers who are looking for a 10 bagger, but 10pts is 10pts.
