Dipy,
I learned the hard way to not fall in love with a stock and to understand that superior technology is only part of the equation.

Common sense fundamental information is scoffed at. Valid technical analysis is dismissed, despite accurately predicting the stock movement....oh well.

I posted on this thread a couple of weeks ago that the charts suggested a very good selling point at $46. I covered (and posted it at the time) at $36. This could have been very useful for a bull as well as a bear. Here is my case for why it would be valuable to a bull using a base position of 100 shares:

100 shares @ $46 = $4600
sell the shares and buy back at $36
I now have an extra $1000 dollars which I can spend on QCOM stock so I now have a grand total of 127 shares of QCOM. That is 27% more shares than before!!! And when QCOM goes back to $1000/share, that means that I will have $27,000 more than I would have had I not listened to good solid technical analysis.
