Hi KLP; My (uneducated) guess is that ball games where the winning or losing team would be sacrificed were rather rare. This is based on the simple observation that the regeneration time of the human species is too slow otherwise. Also, that Limbaugh article is right on, especially the part where he says that campaign money is like water. -- Carl P.S. Did a google search for "aztec pierced" and got some nasty stuff. Ouch! Those people were stoice. No wonder they didn't mind having their hearts cut out with obsidian knives. Probably felt good in comparison. What's really amazing is that the Spanish completely conquered them so quickly, with so few soldiers, and so far from their home.
