But when you have caught him in so many lies, you begin to wonder why.

Now, this is funny. There has been NO credible incident where Bush has been proven to have told a lie. Period. You cannot document ONE instance with any credibility. We went through this before, and you couldn't support it. Now you're making further allegations that can't be supported.

What's REALLY funny is that you would have the unmitigated gall to call someone, anyone, a liar -- after the eight years of your guy telling one absurd lie after another.

YOU are the liar -- you are accusing Bush of lying when it never happened. You have lied one time after the other on this board by leveling these accusations against Bush when you know you're lying.

You're just like your buddy Clinton -- tell a lie when the truth would do better.

combjelly,

Ok, I ask you, why did Dubya cliam that he never met, or got to know, Lay in the period before he was governor? Even though there aren't particularly good records, and even if there were, there are likely sealed, why lie about it? What harm would there have been in admitting that he got to know Lay well before he was governor? Unless, like so much of Dubya's life, he has this need to lie or inflate what actually happened?

I have no idea. I don't know any more than what you have just posted here. As far as lying, and lying for apparent no reason, my impression of GW Bush is that he is an honest guy, and I can't think of any lie from him that would be stuck in my memory.

As far as GWB knowing Lay before he claims he does, I don't know. If he were to start lying, my guess is that he would pick something more substantial to lie about.

but with his pattern of lying or covering up of almost everything, what choice do I have?

Pattern? One day, when you are not busy, maybe you should tell us about it. There should be a lot more meat on it that the "lie" about meeting Lay.

Joe
