Here's what he said that I was referring to:

I notice you didn't say "good". Don't give up my day job, right? :-)

Now should I write a note to the walk-in doctor excusing myself for not returning as I said I would? I would like to feel free to go there in the future (it's five minutes from my house), for one thing.

I hate to say, "You were okay to get a prescription from but if it's something conceivably serious, forget it, I'm going to MY doctor...."

Is this an urgent care clinic? Because I think they expect you to go to your regular doctor for continuing care.
Otherwise, I don't think I know enough at this point to make an intelligent comment. Except maybe "Don't burn your bridges behind you."
