So why is Europe lagging? You missed it. Can you fire someone in Europe, or lay people off? Do you have to give them 11 months of vacation a year? Can they drink alcohol on the job? Do they have a work ethic? Do they have a tax policy that supports business? Are the telecommunication infrastructure rates, rules and regulations condusive to compete against the US? Do their schools prepare them for the world of work, or the world of Jihad? Whose policies towards immigration yield the best results for GDP? And then theirs the VAT? The energy policy? The green party? Hatreds against one another? The concept of the EU being 100 years and several wars too late?

These things don't have anything with why the US grows and EU lags, do they? It's only the Japanese pouring money into the US.

Face it, for the price of strong coffee, good alcoholic beverages and food, and some ancient art, you give up on being able to do anything else. Eurpoe is a shell of itself today. It can re-invent itself, but it would have to look much more like the US and that is precisely why you (and Japan) won't make the changes you need to.
