(HAL) 14.66: -- Update -- UBS Warburg upgrades to BUY from Hold after a bankruptcy judge last night granted a temporary restraining order staying all of the claims filed against HAL's Dresser subsidiary; this event is a significant positive for HAL, as the 200k claims that are affected by the stay are the most noxious asbestos claims. Maintains $24 price target.

WorldCom investigators find order-booking issue (WCOM) 7.12: The Wall Street Journal reports that WCOM has suspended 3 employees and froze the commissions of a number of salespeople in an internal probe of an order-booking issue in 3 of its branch offices; co believes that the employees in question were double-booking revs on data and voice lines between the US and another country.
