Tip, It is an ill derivative that blows no one good. Many of these things are issued to spread the risk on some economically viable project. But not all, by any means.

I think they do result in smoother income streams. However, the banks also still make loans to Argentina and Enron and Global Crossing, they do investment banking and issue credit cards to homeless people. And that stuff is kind of rough around the edges. <g>
