Hi Isopatch, I'm very familiar with all this subjective judging and political nonsense that goes on. My youngest sister was on the Canadian figure skating team at the 88 games. No bones there but many of these kids work so hard and what do you tell them when they know they were the best but don't make the grade for all the wrong reasons. The problem is systemic from the get go. It does a real number psychologically on some and sets them up for an undeserved world of hurt.. Unfortunately though as the famous but fictional Lazarus Long would say 'Of course the game is rigged, but if you don't play you can't win' My daughter skates but she has elected to follow the less competitive 'test stream', kind of analogous to swimming in order to attain your Bronze Medallion. regards Kastel
