I hope that the awarding of the medal does not kill this issue. The ISU is a joke. They think this will cure all that ails them - The ISU is incredibly arrogant. Anyway - why just the french judge? The whole system stinks but it likely became a "deal or die" mentality. If you didnt play the deal game you likely were screwed. I think the entire judging system needs to be revamped with some of the suggestions we have heard online etc. Anyway the GOLD is a step forward but I hope that further changes of a significant nature occur - Maybe 20 judges maybe the pool thingy just picked before hand. I like many of the ideas.
