Tim: Restricted threads serve a purpose. They're safe havens where one can post without fear of extremist harassment. I prefer to post in unmoderated chat rooms like this one. Discussion is livelier ... I like a healthy give and take. I also have struck a few solid e-friendships with some conservatives. Several times over the past year I have been made to see where my arguments are faulty ... and I appreciate that. Unfortunately, dealing with immature people is the price one must pay for such lively discussion.
