My concern is that there are USA and UK forces still in Afghanistan. They will be targeted for sure.

The Islamic extremists will be trying to target USA civilian fear and sympathy for their own troops if they see casualties. This would be an ideal opportunity if the USA plus UK went into Iraq.

So, my idea is to focus on Afghanistan first, and ignore Saddam. Pretend he does not exist.

Then slam the bastard when he moves. This could be very messy. Lots of people killed etc. It's a matter of minimizing risks imho. No way do I want to see the USA out manoeuvred or stretched losing a PR battle.

I know there is some ex USA military guys who read this thread. I am pushing ideas out only to add to the information base. I may just be your average idiot, but I think it's best if we all make our ideas known, just so they can be discounted. I am happy with that.

my regards,

pearly.
