Hi Caxton, I think actually the market gets it with the coming wireless thing. But it's a left pocket/right pocket thing at the moment.

'Cause it also adds up the 250 B$ worth of debt that the NA carriers have between them, and worries a bit.

That's kinda 10x what all of QCOM's future profits are worth (assuming QCOM's market cap is fair), just to put things in perspective.

CR there may be a comparison with the airlines. Revenue from marginal seat and ARPUs etc.

I expect to see a lot of analyst attention to ARPUs and churns as opposed to simple sub additions.

The reason I mention the airlines is that they don't make consisitent money with annual growth. I think i saw a number that said they lost more or less what they made over twenty five years.

Not that this affects the Q. The Q sort of is like OPEC to the Airlines. But if we have a anymore serious collpses in telcos it will cause problems across the board.

The sooner we get PCSs 1X off the ground in June the better. Nothing else counts now.

Best,

L

<The reason I bought qcom in the first place was the thought that "there is going to be a wireless price war", and QCOM is selling the bullets. People are using their cell phones more and more, NOT LESS, they are just paying less per minute. Mr. Market sees a wireless price war as a big negative for the market, but I see it a huge plus for QCOM.>

Hey!! We've got the same song book and the same metaphors too [bullets being sold by Q! etc]. I hadn't seen your post before writing the same [more or less].

Oh well, I guess we just have to wait [again] for other investors to catch up with what it all means. It's like waiting for Xmas morning to open all the loot under the tree!
