I think you and I are on the same page and are probably misunderstanding each other

Big institutions base their investments on FA and they start to incrementally make their purchases or sales way
before the news is out. Via TA, the results of their decisions are shown on the charts.

So actually I think you're both right.

Even the top 1% commence as start-ups MSFT, CSCO, DELL etc...

Check their history... Stock price (technicals) took off long before earnings caught up. Today, MSFT is trading at half its value today from just over two years ago yet continue to make their quarterly estimates. Technicals and psychology with confirmation of fundamentals...
