I am surprised Limbaugh has had that effect on him. Most people I know listen to Limbaugh for laughs. -g- Tom

Are their truly main characteristics in any group? I grant you that certain people coalesce over certain "points", usually points based on hating someone else. The left focusing on hating visible members (symbols) of the right, and the right hating visible members (symbols) of the left (and other groups doing the same thing- focusing on their "enemies")- but away from their little groups, in the darkness of their own rooms, are any of us (or most of us) really characteristic? I hope not. I would like to think that aside from the public group bonding in hate, that some people (many people?) need to indulge in, there are unique and compassionate individuals in almost every "type" group. I would like to think that. I can't say I have a lot of data for it, but I'm going to think it anyway. Because it makes me happy to think that. And if I'm wrong, no big deal. It isn't like I'm going to make any decisions based on that particular idea.
