That's all I'd claim--that, and that given the vast amounts of crap out there, it's good enough to be worth perusing.

Oh, I wish to vigorously disagree. The stuff you've been pointing us to is much better than that. The Palestinian public opinion piece was worth the price of a year's subscription all by itself. I would hope that this energy piece will come to be a part of a full set of articles FA might do on these issues and prove to be quite prescient.

I thought the Pollack piece, however, was the in-guys talking to themselves. And it's always fun to be fly on the wall in those conversations.

as for the "reading beneath the news" line, that's about as high a compliment as you could pay, because I think that's precisely the goal the editors are trying to achieve.

That means I'll keep reading your links and might even fork over some money for a subscription. Now if I replaced The Nation with Foreign Affairs, nah, not going there.
