Selectric II,
You must have missed the previous discussion.
The link referred to documented how top military leaders planned the killing of numbers of innocent Americans for political purposes, to gain support for attacking another country in peacetime.

Neocon's reply was a languid one. He said, "it was hypothetical", accepting that the plans may been made, but weren't carried out, so why worry ...

That caused me to fall off my chair - it is the utmost acceptance of an all-powerful state. The idea of allowing our elected officials to oversee military officers at the level of Joint Chiefs to plan secret mass assassinations of Americans is an acceptance of totalitarianism that can't be more extreme, period.

That confused me, that anyone could be coherent, and still classify that activity that way.
It is absolutely antithetical to "conservative" big-government talk.
Then, after reading of Heidigger's phenomenology and extreme amorality it made a glimmer of sense.

Yes, if you've been paying attention you know that Neo advocates totalitarianism.

You could be right but I doubt it. He’s not an advocate, he's a Republican. If I wanted to mimic JLA, I say he's a repub spinhead.
