It is far more likely that the Iraqui women are experiencing the results of modern agricultural methods implemented in Iraq in the last 20 years. The drift of depleted Uranium throughout the entire population would be miniuscule given the scale of deployment of the weaponry.

However, we know that Iraq's agriculture has been modernized with the use of western pesticides and herbicides in the last 20 years. Particlarly since the blockade the lack of certain anti carcinogenic fruits and vegetables, and the increased use of pesticides to feed the nation in these dires times for them, has no doubt contributed.

These forms of cancer are slow developing being instigated over time by Xenoestrogens, like the toluene pesticides. Basically, a plastic toluamide replaces the sex hormones, and these concentrate at the sex centres of the body, the prostate and the breasts. The replacement hormone very slowly causes unchecked cell proliferation and finally full blown clinical cancer.

We are the first generation of North Americans with plastic in our bodies replacing natural hormones. It is in meat and vegetables in the core of them. We cannot avoid it. This is the reason for the epidemic number of cases of breast and prostate cancer in North Americans. We now know that it will kill 50% of our population. Many are starting to die now in their 50's. My fathers generation died in their 70 and 80's. of these cancers. It seems to be becoming more and more a phenomenon of youth from what I read.

It is time to start eating fully organic, non pesticide, no herbicide infected foods. We should also avoid all foods stored in plastic as these plastics dissolve in water as British researchers found out. (The first finding of xenoestrogens was when a br. researcher tested for human hormones in blank using distilled water in a test tube. It was positive. The plastic had dissolved and was mimicing a hormone).

How do we know this is the cause? Because in the 19 centuryt ever other pollutant possibly ingested was present in as great quantities as it is today. Pesticides and herbicides are the only odd man out that is ingested and is in inimate contact with cells. Slow mutagenicity can only be tested in real situations and is hard to co-relate. It is a lesson too late for the learing. One thing is for sure. Pesiticide companies will not do the research.

For many of us it is too late. but for our children there is no excuse.

Eschew plastics in packaging. Demand organic food. Or die screaming in a hospital bed, begging for heroin when you are 50 something.

It's a simple choice. And it's dead easy to err on the safe side.

<<There has reportedly been a huge increase in breast cancer among young women in Iraq. >>

so exactly when did you become smarter than the entirety of the medical world which can't locate except a single cause / effect factor for breast cancer and that being a genetic predisposition?

...but the massive presence of weaponry using depleted uranium casings must be a prime suspect.

Actually, no. The toxic chemicals associated with clandestine chemical weapon and bio-weapon production (and vented into the air) must be considered the prime suspect.
