--- Gold Sales Declined 2% During 2001

Gold sales declined 2% during 2001 to 3,235.1 metric tons (about 104
million ounces), according to the World Gold Council. The drop in gold
jewelry demand offset an increased demand for gold as an investment.
The investment demand increase was attributed to the September 11
terrorist attacks on the United States.

Sales of gold for jewelry declined 2% during 2001 to 2,840.3 tons and
declined 4% during the fourth quarter to 767.1 tons. Gold for
investment increased 4% during 2001 to 394.9 tons and increased 8%
during the fourth quarter to 109.9 tons.

The price of gold averaged $271.05 an ounce last year.

SB,re:"Justice". You don't believe life is fair, do you?
I don't.

1. where you are born determined the fate to a large
degree, with a few exception, as usual.

2. justice(law) applies mostly to one who couldn't afford
good lawyers.
Most people would disappear from any useful life after
choking your coach, one did get away.

3. if you are smart enough to steal Millions/billions,
jail time would be limited, they may even buy you off
and make you a consultant somedays.
