Shoreco that is an interesting thought and I am sure there is some merit to it. In a worse case scenario perhaps they do not lose much because of what you said, if we keep on plunging. Time decay has probably chewed deep into anything much below 36. But I am not sure.

At any rate, I guess my answer is "money is money" and if they can make more by shorting heavily at the top, covering at the bottom, then blowing out the puts on the way back up, why not make more money? I am sure they will buy more than enough shares at the bottom to cover all the calls in the money that will come back to life on the march back up.

Then they can do it all again this summer, when we take out the Sept bottom convincingly.

My proposed action will undoubtedly cause the most pain to the most people. The only question remains how they manage to pull it off in this whitch hunt sentiment of a market.

I guess I am asking Zeev for what catalyst he sees to trigger a "Spring Rally" as I do not see that catalyst.
Indeed, as I suggested, if there is no rally, it is going to be very very messy due to delta hedging on the way down.

Hi, where do we find history on options transactions, for example, to see price action and changes in open interest in a daily basis? Thanks in advance.
