Hi John,

There was an interesting segment on NPR last night. They were discussing the nature of Committees of Correspondence, here's a couple contemporary examples:

geocities.com

cofc.org

Basically, CoCs were extant in the run-up to the Revolutionary War, and were considered instrumental in forming public opinion in favor of secession from George III's regime. (Say, are we going backwards on this today?)

So, SI has taken on much the same role as the CoCs of yore, and your correspondent is happy to get your disagreeable views, any time. <g>

Speaking of redress, did you hear about the investigation of Lou Pai, charged with bringing strippers into End Run's headquarters in Houston? Ooh la la. That Lou, what a party animal......
