The manhattan project was already well under way at the time of the normandy invasion. All the jewish physicists from germany who were working on nuclear fission had already fled to the united states leave the german program in shambles.

The US developed "the bomb" in early 1945 independant of the war effort in europe. If for some reason the russians hadn't taken berline and eastern europe, the US would have had THE FUCKING BOMB. You think we would have stopped with a couple targets in japan? The bomb would have ended the war in europe in a few days, period.

I think the swooning admiration only goes a certain distance. When Americans rave about how they saved the world from the scourge of Nazism, it's a bit tiresome. Yes, they helped, but only to save their own skin; they were only dragged in when Japan showed up and ruined the Hawaii fleet.

You can think it doesn't matter who likes and doesn't like you. It does.

Jealousy is a not a virtue. So I will continue to not be concerned with who and who does not like the U.S.

Guadalcanal. Does anyone remember that U.S. campaign? If history serves me correctly, Churchill campaigned heavily for the U.S. to take the Solomons. WHY? Because he was afraid the PM of the Land Down Under would pull his army out of Monty's 8th Army, at the time locked in combat with Rommell's Afrika Corp.

If the Japanese could be allowed to operate from the Solomons, what was next? That's right, the Japanese had a hankering for some fresh Kangaroo meat. But then again let's forget about that. We are just arrogant Americans.

Your assessment is not grounded and you certainly don't speak for Canadians, considering you're a guy who can't manage to spell his own name and cherish a dog like GSTRF why don't you just piss off.

How many americans do you speak to? I'm sure they think you're a low life prick.
