The level of public understanding of what 3G phones will offer is dismal. In my practice, I love to describe what is coming, like the phones with video cams, and the ability to send video email clips from the phone. "Hi Mom! Here we are on the rim of the Grand Canyon. Look at the neat piece of turquoise jewelry we got today. See you soon! [snip]". They are amazed and nearly all people I talk with that didn't know what was coming say they will upgrade to start to take advantage of it. I think the 3G wilreless web naysayers will be surprised when the service gets going.
