If she has it set for AIM to run in the background every time someone tries to call her or some other action it will cause a noise.

Runman, you can close AIM completely, see if that helps. If not, get your daughter(s) a brand new Pentium 4, 2.0 processor, with 512 Ram, 24 inch flat screen, 80 gig hard drive (to record all that wonderful music), CD--RW, DVD, superior sound system. that way you can play with your 2100 without any disturbances, ggg. larry
