Kornfeld?

I hadn't heard that name for ages... <g>

Here's what Frank Zarb of NASD had to say recently:

You know, in 1969 I had a partner by the name of Sandy Weill and we bought a
brand new back office because we had come out of the late Sixties when institutions
were just being invented by people like Bernie Kornfeld, who invented the fund of
funds. Most of you are too young to remember good old Bernie. He was eccentric
and ended up in jail. But he was kind of the forward edge of the institutional business
and there it began.

This forward edge stuff always seems to blow up in someone's face, eh? Mikey Milken, Andy Fast One, Nick Leeson, John Merriwether....... <g>
