Terry > I think that I need to set up an account that will allow me to short stocks. Me thinks all will come tumbling down at some point. The paper stock for this house of cards is wearing mighty thin.

Clearly, rational thought would make one come to this conclusion. In this game, however, I have learned to mistrust my reason because, in fact, the game is a fraud. Perhaps I am wrong but it seems that they can do what they like with the paper money and the paper assets including keeping the USD as the most valuable currency in the world and the stockmarket at historic PEs. So, I am very careful not to bet against the "house" although, I have to say, further falls in the stockmarket seem very likely.

For me, it's enough to hold a fistful of "hard assets" eg gold, resources and property stocks and, of course in SAf, hedges against the depreciating local currency.
