You said that they wanted to make war "anywhere, anytime", which is a far cry from wanting to get rid of a particular despot in Iraq, or even targeting the three major rogue states.

I like Chris, but he is wrong. It was never merely about bringing the perpetrators to justice. It was about breaking the back of terrorist networks and their sponsors once and for all. Iraq has been on the table from the beginning, it didn't take William Kristol to put it there. Additionally, since Kristol backed McCain, he doesn't have a special "in" with the Administration. Finally, it is unlikely that we will make a direct conventional assault on Iraq, any more than we did on Afghanistan. Anyone who thinks that Saddam should be allowed to continue to work on stockpiling weapons of mass destruction, and fund various terrorist groups, raise your hand. Otherwise, let the Administration do its job........

"Who's writing this script? Who hijacked our war?

The answer: a coterie of "neo-conservative" thinkers led by Weekly Standard publisher William Kristol and deputy defense secretary Paul Wolfowitz."<<

MSI, you got this one nailed. Wolfowitz is the key one and Kristol provides the media stuff. They are even doing a Ralph Reed on the State Dept.
