As much as I might want it to be different, AMD keeps these things really secret. Remember how Paul and wanna were scoffing about the Hammer tapeout because there wasn't a big tent party? And now, if AMD is to be believed, they actually have silicon and might even be demonstrating samples, although I am dubious about them actually handing them over...

This has been the trend recently. The original K7 had a bit of fanfare surrounding it, but ever since then they have played things real quiet. I would love to see the terms of the NDAs, because leaks about performance and/or features tend to be very few and far between. I haven't seen anything like what happened to the P4, when there was an actual system on ebay well before the launch.
