the McCain/Levy Bill is supposed be coming forth once again(quite soon),the bill that would require companies to subtract their option giveaways from their revenue.
5 years ago they brought this up and corporate lobbyist crushed it right at the gate.
NYT says,in spite of huge corporate battle to buy off this bill, they rate it a toss-up this time.
Imagine, in spite NOT having to subtract this from revenue businesses use the options as a tax deduction.
Ridiculous--no scandalous.

I'd say on a real basis it's probably a negative. Market cap is not a real number. Most tech companies spend faster than they earn, and I would say very few have ever repaid their startup costs. MSFT, INTC, and some of the older comapanies being the exception. It's definitely time for a reality check on wall street.
