Dan, Re: "Ummm, the replacement of .18 Foster Xeon by .13 Prestonia Xeon started last month."

You are talking about the dual processor version of Xeon, which is transitioning to higher performance .13u manufacturing (much to AMD's dismay). The multiprocessor version of Foster, which has a larger L3 cache, will still be on .18u until the end of the year.

Re: "Intel is carrying the costs of several .13 flash fabs - if they aren't going to be using them to produce flash, well, that's a darn shame."

Intel is still manufacturing .25u flash right now - and making a lot of money on it. Why is it so hard for you to accept that .18u flash will be a big money maker later this year, even after they transition to .13u manufacturing.

Re: "McKinley? What percentage of Intel's unit wafer production do you expect to be taken by McKinley?"

Far more than the percentage taken up by Merced.
