Consumed means "put in service", i.e. incorporated into customers products. I read where they said "up to 45%".

So $250M Q revenue could "snapback" to as much as $417M some time in the second half or 2002.

Merrill seems more confident in a "snapback" than in any prediction of bottom revenue or secular growth.

They still rate JDSU (2-1) BUY-STRONG BUY for intermediate and long term.

If JDSU claims $250M as the bottom revenue Q, $5-6 would seem like a reasonable entry.
