<<<<Internal Report Clears Arthur Andersen's Top Managers of Shredding Key Enron Documents; Possible Collusion Between Some Enron Employees and Members of Andersen's Houston Office, Investigators Say>>>>

biz.yahoo.com

This PR is so sad it isn't even laughable. Hey, if you are a scapegoat for a company, do you get paid a huge settlement from your company to take the fall or are you just sh*t out of luck when they throw you to the wolves?

I'm sure this whole thing was between one Enron employee and one Anderson employee <S>.

On another note, would you want to or not want to hire an accounting firm that will help you cook your books and shred all of your dirty deeds? Seems it might be better to hire the less than ethical accounting firm, might reduce your jail sentence a few years (if for some reason they start sending guys to jail, doesn't seem probable now).

Just a sign of the times

Murray, I agree with some of what Kaplan writes. What is challenging is trying to sift through all the opinions and
news stories every day. Just for "fun", I'm sending this one back atcha....
"US planes rain dollars on Afghanistan
REUTERS: THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2002 2:43:55 PM ]

CHAMAN, Pakistan: US aircraft over southern Afghanistan have scattered $100 bills tucked into
envelopes bearing a picture of President George W. Bush, witnesses said on Thursday. Some of
the envelopes were carried by the wind and fluttered to earth over the Pakistan border town of
Chaman, sending people scrambling for the cash....."
