Gus,

Very impressive. Was not through options(presumably), but was made with his own money. This is one of the first large purchases I have seen in awhile in a large tech company. Hopefully this will be followed by more people at other companies. Somehow I doubt though that we will hear about this on CNBC.

OT: I have a bird (typically a mockingbird or cardinal) that keeps tapping on my window. What's going on?

In the springtime, birds vigorously defend their territories. They are protecting their hard-won feeding and mating opportunities from interlopers. The bird only sees another bird, and doesn't recognize his own reflection - so he tries to fight or intimidate the invader. Try to break up the reflection with tape, screen, an outside plant, or soap on the window. This typically happens for only a short time in the spring.

Gus, RE: Largest Purchase Ever by an EMC Corp. Executive

The most surprising thing to me is that a purchase this small is the "largest ever".
