If the people wouldn't get an income, the industry wouldn't have income to buy the very goods the factory was producing. Henry Ford knew that and paid his workers accordingly.

But thinking about an underdeveloped country today, there is no critical mass to herd them into a factory.

Hence my idea that only re-colonization or mass migration can kick-start a boom in the world economy. Left by themselves we will only get new Argentinas.
