There is a difference between an "energy crisis" and the dangers of too great a dependence on foreign oil IMO.

Lots of auto makers are building cars that go further on less gas. Try Honda for starters.

The President doesn't have to be told by the oil companies when there is an "energy crisis". When there is an energy price spike, the filling stations have the price rise posted before it can hit the press.

Drilling in Anwar is not raping our environment. Even the Clinton administration said that the technology for safely drilling and extracting oil has been proven safe over many years experience.
