It's funny. Lots of people claim that the Bushes are big friends of the oil industry and in their pockets. Yet, when Bush 41 was in power, it was one of the most depressed times for the oil business in the US with massive layoffs. Many people I knew in the oil business voted against Bush in 1992 just for that reason. The oil business was in much better shape economically during the Clinton years. Let's see what Bush 43 does in the next couple of years.
