Free Enterprise works in the long run, but in the short run you have to deal with thousands of tanks and millions of soldiers, and after you defeat them you might have guerrilla warfare and terrorism and a large fraction of the people of the world to try to turn around after you nuked them multiple times. It might have worked but even if it did it would have been bloody, and any severe mistakes or some bad luck and you could have had an enormous mess. Tim
