Here's how Lay got screwed.

1. He paid $300K to Bush and couldn't get him to do a damn thing to bail out his company.

2. He withheld trading his 2.8 million shares for $104 million when he found out the company was in trouble, but the press and other ignoramuses believe he did the opposite.
