Well sure SUNW will be leading the pack in the recovery. I wouldn't put it past them to have buy back capabilities at these pricing levels of their stock.

The capital expenditure in IT have been placed on a lower level of priority by most companies. They feel that they are doing alright where they are right now. Why hurt their bottom line when busines is really not as robust requiring great IT capability. This will all change, and theere will be a reversion to the technology arena when and only when the general economy gets its act in gear.

I agree with you that Sun Micosystems will be there to captue market share. I met the chief technology analyst at Groupama investment managers a couple of weeks ago. I asked him, with all the pessimism out there about technology companies, what is his top pick right now. He said SUNW was his number one pick to at lest double or tripple by 2003's end.

Thos of us who have held on for the last 2 1/2 years and seen our portfolios diminish because of Sun Microssytems will be richly rewarded by staying the course at leat for a dcoupler of more years.

Hey, two more years, not too bad! Just think of how much the executives of Sun Microsystems have lost ofver this period of time. Believe me, I am not crying for them since they are still filthy rich with all of their stock options and such, but still it has got to hurt "big time" for each and every one of those guys. At their level, they have loans out on their concentrated stock positions and they are subject to the same "would have, could have" thinking that we are.

I agree with you that there will be a brighter day starting real soon. I think that it is wise to write covered calls ona portion of your holdings. I wish I had done this on the way down for the last two and one half years but I didn't.

Good luck. Let's look for some significant earnings boost and some good news going forward.
