Johan claimed his reference was neither to larger cache nor increase in FSB bandwidth.

BPU enhancement is probably a very solid guess and is certainly mine as well.

What the other change is&#133 well&#133 I hope it does turn out to be SSE2, but I don't consider it "minor" or "subtle" - and I consider it extremely unlikely (would be a major surprise, though).

Peeking at Hammer, maybe some kind of "pre-decoding"?
