Yep, a 32 processor server will support a terabyte of physical memory when 4 gig DIMMs start shipping - maybe more like 1 to 2 years?

Of course, it will only be possible with an AMD system, because AMD doesn't use a crappy, shared, Intel-style bus.

End of the line for Intel's enterprise aspirations is getting pretty close and the reasons for their enterprise failure becoming clear.

If Intel had tied AMD to the architectural millstone they've hung around their neck, they wouldn't be facing the competition that's now getting set to crush them.
