the list prices would never increase. I grant you that. But, the street price would absolutely rise. And then the next cycle of products would have all kinds of new features that nobody really wants but which allow the vendor to charge more money and increase their margins. If they don't, as many people have pointed out, many would be running at a negative cash flow indefinitely. Not much point in staying in business then.
