BUSH'S CLIMATE PLAN: SMELLS LIKE ESSO [EXXONMOBIL]
Esso/ExxonMobil has got what it wanted: a US climate plan which sets US greenhouse gas emissions to increase by up to 45% above the targets set by the Kyoto Protocol. Esso has called for more research, voluntary action and emissions linked to economic growth. These are the mainstays of the Bush plan.
